Romans:
Walking the Way with Paul
From children memorizing the Romans Road to theologians discussing the deep things of God, Paul’s epistle to the Romans has had a profound impact on Christianity. Frederik Godet, a French expositor of the Bible, wrote, “Spiritual revival in the church will be connected to a deeper understanding of this book . . . The book of Romans is the cathedral of the Christian faith.” Throughout this course, we will walk through the book of Romans together, discussing what Paul wrote and what it means for us today.

In this workshop, we will explore ways to incorporate music and singing into online prayer services. We will review best practices in proctoring worship videos, spotlighting solo musicians, conducting group singing, leading liturgical readings, and creating Bible songs.

The Ultimate Purpose of the Biblical Sacrifices
Much of the biblical text describes and discusses the sacrificial system of the nation of Israel, but this topic is often clouded in mystery and misunderstanding for modern followers of Jesus. This course explores the ultimate purpose of the biblical sacrifices and their deep theological significance for Christians today. Students will examine both the Old and New Testament contexts of each sacrifice. Emphasis is placed on how these ancient offerings point to spiritual truths fulfilled in Christ and lived out in the believer's life.

Prayer Walking
“For the believer the grace and demand of God are mediated through the concrete situation.” This one-hour workshop will explore the physical practice of walking as a concrete practice of spiritual devotion to our Lord. We will consider tools for praying with, though, and for places along our path, and postures of being oriented to our God as we walk our city’s streets, our park’s paths, our countries’ lanes: this Biblical landscape of life.

Rise Up My Love: Meditations on the Song of Songs
The Song of Solomon is a tiny poetic treasury filled with nuggets of wisdom about the greater than Solomon hidden in its pages. He alone has the power to fulfill our inmost longings for love and happiness. In this course, we will meditate through the book, one chapter at a time, focusing on God’s transformative love for us and how this can deepen both our spiritual and human love relationships.
