Jesus in the Jewish Sacrifices

Much of the biblical text describes and discusses the sacrificial system of the nation of Israel, but this topic is often clouded in mystery and misunderstanding for modern followers of Jesus. This course explores the ultimate purpose of the biblical sacrifices and their deep theological significance for Christians today. Through detailed study of the Burnt, Grain, Sin, Guilt, and Peace offerings, students will examine both the Old and New Testament contexts of each sacrifice. Emphasis is placed on how these ancient offerings point to spiritual truths fulfilled in Christ and lived out in the believer's life.
